This trail follows the access road to Lake O'Hara used by the shuttle buses in the summer. The trail climbs steadily up to the lake, where we'll have a chance to have lunch and maybe do a little exploring. The return run follows the same road downhill to the highway, making for a fun run. (Ref: Chic Scott's Ski Trails in the Canadian Rockies p. 141).

After the event, we will be heading straight back to Calgary.

Lake O'Hara Fire Road is classified as Class 1 (Simple) avalanche terrain. We do not need to bring avalanche beacons or other avalanche safety equipment.
