For those thinking of the shorter distances. 5k, 10k and the Half Marathon.

I'm looking to make this a more fun event. You can walk it, run it, sprint it. Go fast, go slow, it's up to you. It's really a challenge between you and the clock. As long as you make the cut off time you get to finish, have immense self satisfaction and bragging rights.

The idea for this is to get people together for the event. No better motivation to train than with other people. Once a week or 5 times a week, whatever you can do. From 1 Nov, we have 30 weeks (some 7 months!) to prepare for it. Even if you're brand new to running, it's enough time to train! If you wish, there will be training sessions being set up that you can join. We will be training throughout the winter, wherever we can find a place to run. So newbies are welcome to get started.
