Itinerary:
Dat Peter Vu Event Blitz

In honor of our friend, Peter Vu, COC volunteers are hosting a "Dat Peter Vu Event Blitz" day. Peter attended his first COC event in January 2007, and was at the top of our "Most Active Members" list for close to a year. All together, Peter attended 377 events, and (among other things that Peter was famous for), he was famous for attending multiple events in one day, with his most impressive multi-event accomplishment being attending four events on June 14, 2009. We lost our dear friend to cancer on February 6th 2010, and will always miss his warmth and energy on events.

To participate, COC members are encouraged to attend as many events on DPV Event Blitz Day as possible. Everyone who participates and attends 3+ events will get their name (to protect your privacy, first name and last initial only, or your Display Name from your COC account) on Rhonda's "Dat Peter Vu Wall of Fame" (her write-up for her final event of the day: Refreshments at Moose McGuire's).

Optionally, if you would like to make a donation to the "VUlocity" team (led by COCers Leslie and Lorraine) who will be participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer on June 26th-27th, your coordinator will have a "VUlocity" ziplock bag for donations which will be forwarded to VUlocity.

NOTE that if you're registered for multiple events on a day, the web site will send you e-mails warning you that you MIGHT be double-booked. Please use your judgement to ensure that you aren't actually double-booked, but otherwise please ignore those warnings. The web site can't tell which events overlap and which ones don't.

The pace of this urban hike is a normal pace, not too slow and not too fast(no speed demons please).

**Distance: about 7 km, elevation gain about 10 m, however because of ups and downs in the trail total ascent is about 150 m.
The trail will take us down a ravine almost to the Bow River. From there we will climb gradually through Douglas fir up the escarpment until we reach an outlook above the Bearspaw dam. From this point we can continue further west and then return by the same path
