Itinerary:
This trip is primarily intended for skiers who are confident at skiing blue and single-black runs. Leave the carpool location at 7:30 AM, arrive at the Sunshine parking lot about 9:30, ski from about 10:00 till 16:30 meeting for lunch midday, consider stopping for a snack on the way back to Calgary.

Required Items to Bring:
- Ski or snowboarding equipment - Money for lift ticket, lunch, park pass and carpool - mountain winter clothing appropriate for the weather forecast - water, lunch - park pass

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take the TransCanada west to the Sunshine turnoff, which is about 4 km west of the Banff turnoff. Exit to the right and continue up to the resort parking lot.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $90.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Terrain Classification: This event is exempted from avalanche planning because it is a Downhill Ski Event at a Downhill Ski Resort).No out-of-bounds skiing is permitted for this event.

Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.
