Itinerary:

Never backpacked, but always wanted to give it a try? This trip is for you! This outing is aimed at experienced hikers who would like to take their backcountry experience to the next level - the overnight backcountry camp trip.

We'll hike the 8km (60m gain) into camp at a slow-moderate pace (3.5 - 4 km/hr) over undulating terrain. We'll then set up 'base camp' at the Forks campground, which allows us a full day of hiking with light packs on Saturday, before hiking back out to the parking lot on Sunday.

If you are fast, or quite experienced, you are welcome to join, but please expect to share your wisdom with our newbies, and travel at our speed for the weekend.

This trip with be on a tent sharing basis only. I have booked one site per 2 campers. No exceptions. Please indicate in your notes if you have a tent and / or stove, and whether you prefer a male or female (or either) tentmate.

Itinerary:
Day 1: ~ Drive to trailhead, 8KM (2-2.5 hr hike) to The Forks campground, set up camp and sleep. :)
Day 2: ~ Day hike(s) - options include Turbine Canyon (Lawson Lake) and Three Isle Lake or either Kananaskis Pass. Campfire and sleep!
Day 3: ~ Breakfast, pack up camp and depart sites late morning; 8KM (2 - 2.5 hr) hike back to the cars and home.
