August 19 Friday:Drive out to Waterton, set up camps.

August 20 Saturday:Cyrpt Lake Potluck dinner(remember the vegetarians) around 7pm

Crypt Lake - distance 17.2km with 670M elevation gain
Depart for marina at 8:30a.m. to purchase the boat cruise ticket for the 9:00a.m. departure. Ticket cost is $18.00. We will aim to catch the 4:00p.m. return boat cruise - however, if we do miss the 4:00p.m. departure, there is another one at 5:30p.m. One magazine voted Crypt Lake Trail "Canada's Best Hike". Hikers can visit two countries, it can only be reached by boat; and, not least, one short section travels through a small cave! This hike has also become very popular, attracting hundreds of hikers on some days.

August 21 Sunday:Hike(to be determined by group) then drive back to Calgary

We will be staying at Crandell Campground-$21.50/nite-first come first serve basis. Campfires allowed. About 15 minute drive to Waterton town site. You can select to stay at any other campground if you wish.

CARPOOL: I will try to arrange carpools, therefore when signing up please indicate When you can leave/Time(some folks leaving after work) and which community you live in.

PLEASE NOTE: weather for now looks great for the whole weekend, however should it rain all weekend this event shall get cancelled. I don't enjoy hiking/camping in rainy conditions.

PACE: Please note that these will NOT be Speed Demon's hikes(getting to the top in record time) nor will it be for slowpokes, we will be going at a Slower pace on steeper terrain and Moderate pace on flat terrain. If you're not sure about a hike, feel free to contact the coordinator and remember to always hike within your ability in order to be able to keep up with the group. If you're use to "slowpoke pace hikes" then this hike is not for you. p>
