Itinerary:
One of the objectives of the Calgary Outdoor Training Team(Sylvia(1) A. and Carolyn L.) in 2011 is to provide educational sessions where members can learn about different aspects of the outdoors.

Due to popular demand we are re-doing this presentation.

We're very fortunate to have Dr. David Roberts give us a dual presentation on Nutrition & Hydration and also The Bio-mechanics of Hiking. He holds a degree as an Athletic Therapist and is also a Chiropractor and so he therefore comes with a wealth of knowledge.

This presentation is geared more for folks who are into mountain hiking/scrambling.

Learn about key nutritional and hydration concepts for before, during and after your hike. As well as learn the basics about the bio-mechanics of hiking and the importance of strength, flexibility and balance as the cornerstones of injury prevention.

At the end of the presentation we'll allow time for questions.

Since space is extremely limited, pls only sign up if you are 100% committed of attending. Unreasonable last minute cancellations(3 hours or less)preventing others from attending the event will be recorded as a no show. Thank you for your consideration for other COC members.
