Itinerary:
This group is targeted for runners who have some experience running and can do 10's and 1's or 5's and 1's. Our pace will be somewhat relaxed but steady.
We will be doing one round trip on the trail with 2 nice hills you get to go over twice for added oomph and fun!
We will begin at the southeastern edge of Edworthy Park at the train crossing and take The Douglas Fir Trail along the escarpment, up and down that hill, pick up Quarry Trail eastward, head up towards the Cedar Crescent Hill, then back down towards the train tracks, cross the tracks, eastward along the bicycle path, reach Crowchild Trail underpass, turn around come back the way we came.
We'll hang around Edworthy Park a bit to cool off after the run.

The Douglas Fir Trail is located in the eastern portion of Edworthy Park and is one of the most easterly stands of Douglas Fir in Canada. Undulating along an escarpment created by an ancient and much mightier Bow River, this natural area is just minutes from downtown. The Douglas Fir Trail, a reasonably short but strenuous hike up and down a series of steps and walkways placed between the bases of beautiful, towering fir trees.

Distance: 7.7 km
Total Elevation gain: about 200m (2 hills twice!)
