We will hike from Larch Valley to Paradise Valley via Sentinel Pass. This hike will require a car shuttle between the two trailheads (~10km shuttle on good road) which will be planned ahead by the trip leader.

Fall Colour Splendour Trip! This is one of the most scenically splendid trails in Banff National Park. In autumn, the needles of the larch trees turn golden, making the valley glorious. We’ll follow the Larch Valley trail towards Sentinel Pass. At an elevation of 2611 m (8566 feet), Sentinel Pass is one of the highest in Banff National Park. From the pass we will descend into Paraside Valley. Be prepared for company - this is one of the busiest trails in the park, especially in September when the larch trees turn gold and the valley blazes with color.

Since the summer of 2001, the Larch Valley/Sentinel Pass/Consolation Lakes/Eiffel Lake area has "Restricted Access" due to the area being in the home range of one of their grizzly bears. We will hike in tight groups of 4 or more (to prevent any attacks).

Required Items to Bring:
$ or Park Pass for entry to Banff National Park.
-Proper footwear - no runners.
- Bag for dusty/dirty boots
- Lunch and Water(minimum 2 litres)
- Proper clothing - no jeans or cotton clothing - be prepared for all types of weather conditions.

Take the Trans Canada Highway west to Lake Louise. Follow Lake Louise Drive 3km to the Moraine Lake Road. Turn left and follow this road to the Morriane Lake prking lot.
