Let's get out and start our hiking season again, this is a great season opener! Bonus-nice weather on Sunday.

The route for this hike is well traveled & the climb is steep, though this is well worth the effort. The views from the top are spectacular; Calgary to the east, Moose Mountain to the north and Banded Peak and Powderface Ridge to the west.

PLS NOTE: At this time of year icers/micro-spikes are required; you never know what you will encounter. No icers = no hike -- sorry.

PACE: Please note that this is not a speed demon's hike(getting to the top in record time-pls do not sign up if you like to hike fast) nor is it for very slowpokes, we will be hiking at a Moderate pace on gentler grades and at a SLOWER pace on steeper terrain. If you're not sure about a hike, feel free to contact the coordinator and remember to always hike within your ability in order to be able to keep up with the group. If you have not hiked before 500M+, this hike is not for you. If you're used to "very slowpoke pace hikes" then this hike is not for you.

If you live in the NW, you might want to meet us directly at trailhead, quicker for you then meeting us at the SW carpool.<
