Let's get out and start our hiking season again, this is a great season opener! Bonus-nice weather on Sunday.
The route for this hike is well traveled & the
climb is steep,
though this is well worth the effort. The views
from the top are
spectacular;
Calgary to the east, Moose Mountain to the north
and
Banded Peak and Powderface Ridge to the west. If you live in the NW, you might want to meet us directly at trailhead, quicker for you then meeting us at the SW carpool.< | |||||||

Event Directions: | DIRECTIONS FROM SW CARPOOL TO TRAILHEAD:
Drive back south on Macleod Trail & exit out of town on Hwy #22X westbound (Marquis of Lorne Trail). If you drive by Spruce Meadows you know you're heading in the right direction. Hwy #22X turns into Hwy #22 - keep going westbound. The 22 turns into Hwy #66. Follow Hwy #66 until the winter gate which is opposite Elbow Falls parking lot entrance. The gate is closed-park their.
