Itinerary:
Those hard-working folks at CMBA (Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance) are working for Calgary area riders once again and setting up this fun-filled event.

FREE for CMBA members. For non-members, $20 buys a membership and this poker ride is free. (You must be a CMBA member or become a CMBA member to ride in this event). CMBA memberships can be obtained online here

A challenging and fun course through some of the most challenging trails Calgary has to offer. The “challenge loop” with include 5 card stops and plenty of challenging single track. The “Advanced loop” will incorporate lung busting hill climbs, advanced technical trails, 1 extra card stop in almost 20 km of sweet single-track. Prizes will be awarded based on your poker hand when you cross the finish line.

This is not a race, rather a ride through the park and will not be timed. Here are some other important points to remember:

  • Registration starts at 9:00 am, rider meeting 9:50 am, ride begins at 10:00 am sharp
  • Due to insurance regulations, CMBA memberships are compulsory for all riders and start at $20. You can pre-purchase your membership at www.cmbalink.com or on race day (cash or cheque only).
  • Helmets are mandatory. Part of the ride will cover paved pathways; therefore bells are required on all bikes.
  • All riders must display proper rider etiquette and avoid user conflicts. CMBA members have the right to disqualify any rider who is deemed to have created user conflict during the ride
  • Limited to 50 riders
  • Complimentary BBQ included starting at 11:30
  • Prizes courtesy of Cyclepath, Pure Cycle, Pedalhead Bike shop and others

  • Mountain bike
  • Tools, Tube and Pump
  • Helmet **NO EXCEPTIONS**
  • Snacks and water

Event Directions:South on 24th St. South, until it ends in Fish Creek park.
