Itinerary:
This is event is for intermediate skiers. The pace will be moderate (not slow or fast : )) with shorter refueling stops as we go. You need to be able to handle significant hills, both up and down, and 19 km distance. We will start from Boulton parking lot, head up Whiskey Jack to Tyrwhitt, then loop back down Elk Pass Trail to Fox Creek and Moraine. This is a fun loop and includes good ups and downs and some more narrow, winding terrain. We may change the trail and starting location subject to trail conditions so please be flexible.

- X-country skis and wax
- Boots and poles
- Back pack with extra warm clothing
- Water
- Snacks and lunch

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Follow Hwy 1 west out of town to the junction with Hwy 40. Head south on Hwy 40 for approx 56km. At the winter gate turn right onto Kananaskis Lakes Trail and follow it to the Boulton parking lot which is on the right 10.1 km from the winter gate.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $89.10 (calculated at total Km * $0.33, effective Sunday, July 12, 2026). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
