Itinerary:
Plan is to do the Cochrane Triangle starting at North Edworthy Park. We'll meet in the North Parking lot at 12:00, gather everyone up and head out at 12:15.

  • Distance: ~70km
  • Time: ~3 hrs
  • Elevation Lots!!
Route:

  • South through Edworthy Park.
  • Up Signal hill
  • West on old Banff Coach road
  • North on Highway 22.
  • Brief stop in Cochrane for hydration/lunch
  • Up Cochrane hill through Gleneagles (NOT Cochrane hill).
  • East on road Township road 561A (not on Highway 1A / Crowchild, but parallel to it.)
  • South on Bearspaw Rd.
  • Through Tuscany and Bowness
  • Back to Edworthy

As this is the first road ride of the season (for me), we'll be going at a moderate pace. New comers are welcome.

  • Road bikes only!
  • Helmet
  • Spare tire
  • Tire repair kit
  • Water
