Event description

- The pace will be RELAXED with regular breaks to enjoy the scenery. Some may choose only to go as far as the lookout. Please let me know if that is your intent from the start. Those who plan the easy scramble to the peak must bring a rock helmet. This is one of those peaks with a 360 view, so worth the effort!

- Note that if you are looking for a fast paced event or are in a rush to get back to Calgary, this is not the event for you.

Trail description

See Trip 53 in "Don't Waste Your Time in the Rockies." To arrive at the Lookout, we climb 520 m over about 3.5 km with the last 0.8 km being a bit of a grunt. From the lookout you can see Mount Ogden, Mount Stephen, the Kicking Horse Valley and the mountains ringing Lake O'Hara. The scramble to the summit is another 430 m. At the summit you'll experince that "on-top-of-the-world" feeling. We will return the way we came.
