We are out to explore and event duration may vary.
Please read the entire event description prior to signing
up for this Easy Scramble.
This is pretty much a hike all
the
way up. We will aim
for
the South Summit and return the same way which we came
up.Opal
Ridge south is mostly a CHALLENGING and VERY
STEEP OFF-TRAIL hike (no switchbacks). It is a bit of a slog
heading up until we reach the rock pinnacles where
the slope eases. The ridgewalk to the summit is
gentle and unexposed.The summit offers
SPECTACULAR views of the Opal Range to the east,
Kananaskis Range to the west, and Kananaskis Lakes
to the south. Note that we will be returning the same way.
Hike description

breaking

you Please ensure your
vehicle is in

can take 4 people (including yourself) plus gear before
