IMPORTANT DETAILS:
This event is for hikers capable of hiking at a MODERATE steady pace.
You must be willing to stick together as a group.
Come prepared, probably mud on the trail.
Be comfortable witih going off trail if conditions dictate the need to.
Do not be in a rush to get back to Calgary. We will be out to enjoy the day and event duration/return to Calgary may vary.

This is a new multi-use trails in West Bragg Creek area. You will find this hike surprisingly nice, with some great viewpoints toward snow-capped peaks of Rockies and walking gentle, forested ridges. We will be hiking Ranger Summit / Elbow / Boundary Ridge loop with side trip to the first panoramic viewpoint on Bobcat for lunch. PACE: Please note that IF you have NOT hiked before or RECENTLY hiked with 350M+, this hike is not for you. If you're used to "very slow-paced hikes" this hike is not for you. PACE: MODERATE pace on gentler grades and at a SLOWER pace going up on steeper terrain. If you're not sure about a hike, feel free to contact the coordinator and remember to always hike within your ability in order to be able to keep up with the group.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:DIRECTIONS FROM CARPOOL:Drive south on Macleod Trail & exit out of town on 22X westbound(Marquis of Lorne). If you drive by Spruce Meadows you know that you're heading in the right direction towards Bragg Creek Village. At the end of 22X (end of divided highway), continue, still westbound on Hwy.22 all the way to Bragg Creek (watch out and follow the highway when it makes a northbound turn-3 km before the village, if you continue straight you will end up driving to Elbow Falls). In the village, turn north-west beside Shell gas station into Balsam Ave.You will drive immediately beside a Look for a concrete pad behind a green fence and a shopping mall parking lot on your left, and within 1/4 mile drive over the Elbow river bridge. You'll reach a T-intersection just after the bridge & turn left (west) into the West Bragg Creek road, and stay on this road for approx. 10 km till the end of the road and you'll reach West Bragg Creek /picnic area/parking lot. Parking lot on the right hand (North) side of the road. We will meet in the parking lot.
