Note : Euchre is a fast playing card game that can be tricky to catch on to. Some euchre experience will make the night more enjoyable. If you haven’t played before, and want to give it a try, Doug will be giving a brief lesson at 7:00 PM sharp. Note: Please bring folding chairs and decks of cards if you have them. FYI- collapsible camping chairs are not the most comfortable things to sit in while playing (trust me). Euchre is a derivative of Bridge, played with partners and a smaller deck. The tournament rule is that the winners stay at the table but play opposite each other, and the losers will move to the table to the left or right and team up with the winner of that table. This guarantees that no partnership will dominate the tournament and allows players of all levels the chance to win. The person, not team, with the most wins, will be the tournament winner. Sylvia will be hosting the event and Doug will be organizing the tournament. Please contact Sylvia with any hosting questions. She will be supplying non-healthy snacks. If you would like something more healthy, please feel free to bring it along. Please contact Doug with any questions about the card tournament. | |||||
