Distance:~20 kms
Moving Pace: 7-8 kms/hr
Elevation Gain: ~400 meters

From the Elk Pass parking lot, we will follow the Elk Pass trail. We will make a side trip up and down Blueberry Hill, then to the top of Elk Pass. From there we will go back to the parking lot via Hydroline.

The average moving pace will be 7 to 8 kms/hr with some steep hills both up and down. The distance will be ~20 kms. We will take short breaks in order to regroup, and eat a quick lunch/snack at the top of Blueberry Hill weather permitting.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:From Highway 1 take the Kananaskis exit on to Highway 40. Drive all the way to the Kananaskis Lakes Road which is a right turn from the highway. Drive to the Elk Pass parking lot (~ 12 kms) which is past the Pocaterra Hut and Visitor Centre.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $81.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
