This event is a "ski as far as you desire" event for around 2.5 hours. You must be comfortable navigating trails on your own. The trails are well marked.

We'll ski the Ribbon Creek area starting at the Ribbon Creek Parking Lot.

The exact route will be determined based on conditions, but the plan is to ski 15-20 km, for 2-3 hrs.

After the event we'll likely go to the village for drinks afterward.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $56.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.35, effective Friday, August 12, 2022). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Terrain Classification: This event is exempted from avalanche planning because it is on groomed x-c ski routes.

Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.
