Distance: ~ 20 kms
Avg Moving Pace: 7 to 9 kms/hr

From the parking lot behind the Banff Springs Hotel we will ski the Spray River West trail to the Spray River Bridge (~6 kms) and on to the junction with the Goat Creek Trail (~10 kms). Option to go a bit further to the Goat Creek bridge (~11.3 kms). We will return the way we came, which will be mostly downhill, for a total of ~ 20 kms or ~22.6 kms if you choose to go the extra distance.

This event is for moderate pace intermediate level skiers. We will take short breaks for snacks/lunch and regroup at intersections.

Required Items to Bring:
- XC skiing equipment including wax
- Water and lunch/snacks
- Backpack with extra warm clothing
- $ or a park pass if you have one (in case your driver doesn't have one)

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $72.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, April 18, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
