Those interested in becoming Event Coordinators will be paired with an existing coordinator, run 3 events and then, with the approval of the Lead Volunteer Coordinator, receive their 'star' and the ability to post their own events!

Event Coordinator FAQ's

Q. I hate always being on a wait list, or having to drive a long distance to an event or car pool location. Whatever can I do?

A. Become an Event Coordinator! Have members sign up for events you want to do that are scheduled at a time convenient for you and occur at a location close to your home or work!

Q. If I become an event coordinator, how many events must I run to keep my status?

A. You need to run one event every three months. This doesn`t need to be anything complicated. It could be an invitation for people to join you to walk your dog or participate in an urban hike.

Then again, Dodgeball is seven degrees of awesome!

Q. How much does it cost to be an Event Coordinator?

A. The cost to become an Event Coordinator is free. Not only that, all Event Coordinators receive all the rights and privileges that a Premier member receives. (a $25 per year value!)

This event has been made possible by our indefatigable Training Team (Sylvia Angelini & Veronique Le Saux) who are responsible for providing educational sessions where members can learn about different aspects of the outdoors, specifically:

a) providing educational sessions to members
b) raising awareness about different aspects of the outdoors
c) increasing the members' safety while enjoying their activities in the mountains
d) providing everyone the opportunity to ask pertinent questions

If you see them, please take the time to thank them for the hard work that they do!
