Calgary Outdoor Training Program in 2014 are to:
Regardless of the outdoor activities you enjoy in the mountains,
you
are in bear country. The session is to be presented by Mountain
Equipment Co-Op and will
provide you the opportunity to learn about bear habits,
behaviours
and bear habitats. Safe trip planning and best bear country
practices will be discussed.
This event is organized and held at the Mountain Equipment Co-
op
Store in Calgary. Please go upstairs to the Kids section where
the
Product Team room is located. YOU will need to "Check In" with
the
coordinator's on the day of the event - please arrive around 5:50
pm as the presentation will begin at 5:55pm. If you arrive late
please ensure that you check in with us before you leave so you
are not coded "no show".
Please only register for the session if
you are 100% committed to
attend it. This is not open to the general public, this session is
only for COC. Unreasonable last minute cancellations(2 hours or
less prior to event) and no shows preventing others from
attending the event will be recorded. Thank you for your
