Itinerary:

Distance: about 7 km, elevation gain about 10 m, however because of ups and downs in the trail total ascent is about 150 m.

The trail will take us down a ravine almost to the Bow River. From there we will climb gradually through Douglas fir up the escarpment until we reach an outlook above the Bearspaw Dam. From this point we can continue further west and then return by the same path.

- West on Trans Canada to Valley Ridge Blvd.
- North to Valley Ridge Drive (first boulevard stop sign).
- Left to end of Valley Ridge Drive. Be sure to park legally here.
