- We will also be hiking to the col which will make the hike over 1000 metres of vertical.
- The pace will be moderate and this hike is geared for experienced hikers only. . No beginners please.
- You will be expected to hike as a group. If you are unable to respect this guideline then please do not register.
- Only sign up if you are genuinely interested in this event. Please understand that cancellations only create additional work for the co-ordinators who are 100% volunteers. Thank you for your understanding.
- We will also be stopping for food in Canmore.

Trail description:
This hike is known for its many cascades from Sherbrooke Lake up to Niles Meadow. Depending on the time of the year, you will hike within earshot of ten or more cascades, several impressively big and thrillingly close. The trail will start from the parking lot across the highway from Wapta Lake, and it heads NW gradually up the valley to Sherbrooke Lake. We will follow the trail along the east side of Sherbrooke Lake to the north end of the lake, and then continue along Niles Creek.

After Sherbrooke Lake we will encounter the first of four cascades. Proceeding along Niles Creek will take us to the Niles Amphitheatre. The hike up until now will be fairly gradual, but there could be some muddy patches. Over the last 1.5 kilometers to Niles Meadow we will ascend just over 300m.
