Fullerton Loop is a perfect beginner/stay in shape hike that can be enjoyed all year round. Located just west of Bragg Creek, it provides a great opportunity for some fresh air, exercise and sunshine at a time of year when many of us just don't get enough. The plan for this event will be to enjoy a leisurely hike at a relaxed pace, allowing plenty of time to take in the scenery. Even at this pace, expect to complete the loop within 2 hours. Afterwards, we'll make our way into Bragg Creek for refreshments and maybe a light snack before heading home. Please allow at least 4 hours for this event.

Distance: 7km round trip
Elevation Gain: 213m or 692ft (as per albertaparks.ca)

When you get to Alan Bill Pond, park towards the east end of the lot, we will regroup and head out from there. Bring along gaitors and/or icers if you have.

Required Items to Bring:
- Gas money for carpool driver (approximately $5-$8 depending on number in vehicle)
- Hiking Shoes
- Water, Snacks
- Appropriate clothing for weather conditions, quick dry fabric as a first layer is highly recommended.
- Bag for your dirty hiking shoes
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
- Icers, which strap onto the bottom of your hiking shoes to provide additional traction in icy conditions. Good icers can be purchased at Lee Valley Tools.
- Gaitors, which help keep the snow from getting inside your hiking shoes. Available at MEC.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Follow Highway 8 (Glenmore Trail) west then Hwy 22 south to Bragg Creek. At the 4 way stop, continue south on Hwy 22 for 3.4km then turn right (west) onto Hwy 66. Continue on Hwy 66 for 9.7km to Allen Bill Pond day use area. Turn left and park towards the east end of the lot. We will begin our hike from there.

This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
