Itinerary:
We will be starting from the Glennfield entrance but will be parking at the McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home – Fish Creek Chapel 14441 Bannister Road Southeast, which is across the street from the entrance. Do not park inside Fish Creek Park after the gate or your vehicle will be locked in for the night.

Heading west on the paved trails, under Macleod Trail we’ll continue on single track on the south side of the creek. The weather man was way off again from last week, now calling for -11 on Friday, and +10 on Saturday, I'd much rather ride in a spring jacket than a heavy winter jacket. This ride will have several technical sections, lots of roots, 5 to 10 minutes climbs but nothing too extreme. We'll be making the odd stop after climbs and a snack break about the half way point at Bridge #1.

*Please be advised that you must stay with the group.

Fish Creek Park Single Track Trail Map

This will be a relatively difficult fast pace ride and riders are expected to have some Mountain Bike experience and a good fitness level.

The elevation gain for this ride is around 800 to 1200 ft over approximately 2 hours, 17km to 22km range overall.

This is a night ride so helmet and/or handlebar lights are required, 10W or greater, or 500+ lumens. Most of us are running with lights 1200 to 1800 lumens. Come out for a spin, trails are in great shape, icy in sections so studded tires are highly recommended. Without studded tires you may not have much fun, I converted last week after sliding off the trail several times. We may hit the pub after for those interested. Come out and have some FUN!
