Itinerary:

Current snow depth at Lake Louise is 125 cm. Forecasted weather is a mix of sun and clouds with a high of -4C and light winds.

This trip is intended for all levels of skiers and boarders.

We'll break into similar ability groups at the beginning of the day with optional lunch meeting and will gather again at the end of the day.

Make sure you know where to find the Shouldice Park carpool location.

We are leaving the Shouldice Park car pool location at 7:00 am sharp. Please arrive 5 mins early (not too early please). DO NOT be late. If you are going to be late call Mark on 403 512-7979 so that we can make arrangements to either wait or not wait for you.

We will meet at the main lodge (Ten Peaks Lodge) at 9 AM on the main level by the tables opposite the ATM machine.

We'll have lunch at 12:45 pm at the same place. You don't have to meet with the group for lunch. You may continue skiing or have lunch somewhere else.

At the end of the day, we will gather up at the base in the Ten Peaks Lodge and will try to leave the hill at 4:30 pm.

Lift tickets at Louise cost $89 + GST. If you have the Louise discount card, you will get $20 off. You can purchase a 2-pack Louise lift tickets at Costco for $130 + GST. Basic ski/snowboard rental package is about $40.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $108.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, April 18, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because we will be skiing at a ski resort. No out of bounds skiing allowed.
Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.

Skiing/Snowboarding activities have inherent risks involved. Rental packages now include helmets.
