Itinerary:

Current snow depth at Lake Louise is 129 cm. Weather forecast for March 22 is high of 3C and low of -7cm. LL has had 11cm of new snow in the last 48 hours and hoping for their spring dump to start soon

This trip is intended for all levels of skiers and boarders.

We'll do one or two warmup runs together, and then break off into similar-ability groups for the rest of the day.

Make sure you know where the Petro-Canada car pool location is and where to park.Leaving car pool location at 7:15 Sharp Please arrive 5 mins early (not too early please). DO NOT be late. If you are going to be late, call Noel at 403-618- 8865 or Terrie at 403-828 9434 so that we can make arrangement to wait/not wait for you.

We will meet at the main lodge (Ten Peaks Lodge) at 9 AM on the main level, by the windows facing the ski hill.

We'll have lunch at 12:30 pm. You don't have to be with the group for lunch. You may continue skiing or have lunch somewhere else.

At the end of the day, we are gathering up at the base in the Ten Peaks Lodge and will leave the hill at 4:30 pm.

Lift tickets at Louise cost $89 + GST. If you have the Louise discount card, you will get $20 off. You can purchase a 2-pack Louise lift tickets at Costco for $130 + GST. Basic ski/snowboard rental package is about $40.

REMINDER to let us know if you can drive so we know how many drivers are required. If you would like to drive, please indicate how many people you can take (including yourself and ski/boarding gear) and confirm that you have winter tires please. Should this information change prior to the trip, please advise the coordinator accordingly. Thanks!

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $108.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, March 28, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because we will be skiing at a ski resort. No out of bounds skiing allowed.
Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.

Skiing/Snowboarding activities have inherent risks involved.
Rental packages now include helmets.
