Please read below for instructions.
We are leaving the Home Rd & Montgomery Ave NW car pool location at 9:00 am sharp. Please arrive 5 mins early (not too early please). DO NOT be late. Lift tickets at Sunshine cost $89 + gst. If you have the Sunshine discount card, you will get $22 off in May. Basic ski/snowboard rental package is about $40.
If you are able to drive, please indicate in the notes section how many people including gear you can take in your car, as well as what type of vehicle you will be driving.
If you have a park pass please bring it even if you are not driving.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take the TransCanada west to the Sunshine turnoff, it's about 4kms west of the Banff turnoff. Exit to the right and continue up to the resort parking lot.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $60.95 (calculated at total Km * $0.23, effective Tuesday, May 26, 2020). This is based on $0.15/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Note that drivers with large vehicles have the option to adjust this cost based on their vehicles. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual amount among all people in the vehicle and bring some change as drivers are not expected to carry change.

  • Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because it is a Downhill Ski Event (at a Downhill Ski Resort). No out-of-bounds skiing is permitted for this event.
  • Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.
