Itinerary:
If you want a challenge, even if you consider yourself directionally challenged, then here is an opportunity to try orienteering! This is a learned skill, even if you think you are hopeless. New participants will be taught the mechanics of orienteering and then depending upon your comfort level and the time available, you may have the opportunity to try a course or two on your own or with a group afterwards. Orienteering is a family of sports that requires navigational skills using a map and compass (no GPS) to navigate from point to point in diverse and usually unfamiliar terrain. Participants are given a specially prepared orienteering map which they use to find control points where they check in. You can walk or run - or both - if you desire. Orienteering occurs on or off trail.

Beginner or refresher clinics are offered before you start.
