Hiking boots required. SORRY no runners or footwear similar to runners.

The trail winds and switchbacks upwards through forests and leads us to panoramic views of the prairies/foothills and surrounding peaks.

We will be travelling at a steady pace with plenty of stops for photos, but please note this is not a slowpoke hike nor an easy hike given the elevation gain and distance. Also speedy hikers must be prepared to slow down and stay with the group.


Required Items to Bring:
-Comfortable hiking boots -- sorry NO runners
-Bag for dirty boots
-Lunch/snacks
-Lots of water (minimum 1 litre, 2 litres recommended)
-Extra outer layers for changeable weather

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Drive west on Hwy 1 from Calgary and take the Sibbald Creek Trail (Hwy 68) turnoff. At the Powderface Trail junction turn left and drive south approximately 3 km (on gravel road) to the Dawson recreation area. Park here. The trailhead is at the east end of the parking area.
