Itinerary:
Total distance is about 5 - 6 kilometres with one short climb to the plateau.

From Treasures of the Trail: A Nature Guide to Edworthy Park, Lawrey Gardens and the Douglas Fir Trail.

It was on these river flatlands that Tom Edworthy grew hay for his cattle, and vegetables in his market garden... The route leads past the Shaganappi Ranch House to the site of the old brick plant at Brickburn... The clay in the hillside above was considered ideal for brickmaking... Although there was a fair-sized brick plant and operation here, the area has been revegetated with native trees, bushes and wildflower over the years to such an extent that one really has to be alert to notice that there was such an operation in what today is a natural area... A path climbs up the scarp and eventually reaches the top of the upper plateau of Edworthy Park... A gentle walk of about 3 kilometres leads across and around the upper plateau of Edworthy Park through a native prairie fescue meadow and aspen woodland.
