Itinerary: | |||||||
16Km, 60m elevation gain, moderate pace We will follow the trail to "THE FORKS" backcountry campsite. It follows the North East part of the upper Kananaskis Lake, then enters the forest. We will travel up the valley to the camp where we will stop, make a fire and cook lunch. Bring whatever you wish to cook over the fire. We are entering the winter season, so be prepared for all types of weather. There has been snow recently, so the trail may be slippery. The fire wood at the camp will probably be damp, so we will bring dry wood with us. Each person will be required to carry a small amount of dry wood in their daypack. This should weigh about 2 or 3 Kgs. | |||||||
