This event is for strong beginner to intermediate skiers who can "ideally" maintain an average pace of 5km/hr. The plan is to ski a maximum of 2 hours out, have lunch, and then return the way we came. From the trailhead at Lake Minnewanka we will follow the Cascade Fire Road, which is double trackset, towards Stony Creek. On the way out, the road climbs slightly (elevation gain 180m).
