Bring in the new year with some exercise! We could meet earlier than 10 am at the car pool if there is a consensus. This is an easy trip, open to anyone; the less fit can cut the ski trip short. Trail conditions at West Bragg (just 45 minutes west of Calgary) are reportedly excellent. We will start with West Crystal Line, south on Sundog, Iron springs, Elbow, then Sundog, west on Crystal line, west on Moose Connector returning to parking lot on the mountain road. This is estimated at 2 hours. We can enjoy lunch at the Pub in Bragg Creek. If trail conditions are poor we will do Peter Lougheed Park starting at the Pocaterra hut.

If not meeting at the Shouldice parking lot, travel west from Bragg Creek about 1 km, then turn left immediately after bridge and follow that road to the parking lot, about 10 km.

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $12.25 (calculated at total Km * $0.35, effective Monday, June 5, 2023). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
