This trip is intended for all levels of skiers and boarders. We'll break into similar ability groups at the beginning of the day with optional lunch meeting at 12:45 pm and will gather again at the end of the day. We will meet at the Home Rd & Montgomery Ave NW car pool location (just South of the Shouldice Batting Cages) for a 7:00 am departure. Note that cars have been ticketed for parking at the Shouldice parking area. Please DO NOT be late. If you are going to be late call Mark on 403 512-7979 so that we can make arrangements to either wait for you or not. Meeting at event is permitted.We will meet at the Whiskeyjack Day Lodge at 9 AM on the top level by the tables opposite the cafeteria. We'll have lunch at 12:45 pm in the day lodge. Please bring your own lunch so we can get back out quickly for more skiing. You don't have to meet with the group for lunch. You may continue skiing or have lunch somewhere else. At the end of the day, we will gather at our meetup place at the Whiskeyjack Lodge and leave the hill directly. Lift tickets at Louise cost $92 + GST. If you have the Louise discount card, you will get $20 off for yourself and up to 2 friends. You can purchase a 2-pack Louise lift tickets at Costco. REMINDER: Please let me know if you can drive and how many people you can take (including yourself and gear) and confirm that you have winter tires. Thanks! If you have Park pass please bring it, even if you're not driving. If you don't have a park pass it is suggested to pay the park pass holder in your car $2-$3 for your entrance fee to the park. | |||||||

Carpool Cost: | Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $105.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, March 29, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle. | ||||||

Winter Safety Considerations Due diligence completed by Mark R on Jan 9, 2016. Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because we will be skiing at a ski resort. No out of bounds skiing allowed. Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.
