Itinerary:
This event is geared towards novice to intermediate skiers who have been out on their skis a few times this season. You should comfortable with hills and skiing for ~4hrs with breaks.
Distance: Max 10km each way (Max 20km total)
Elevation: 60m (up to start, most of it in a hill at the 4km mark)
Trail Conditions: skier set first 3.5km / track-set next 6.5 km
Pace: ~5km/hr average on 'flat' track-set terrain, with breaks at junctions; Note: this is not an event for the super speedy or the very slow.
Duration: We'll aim for a 2hr turn-around time to allow for different paces
    See map here.

We'll start at the Lake O'Hara Parking lot and do the skier-tracked section as a whole group. At the 3.5km mark we will reach the Great Divide picnic area and take a snack break. From here we pick up the track-set trails, head up the hill and continue on towards the parking lot at the Lake Louise Road junction. If it seems we have two - three pace groups, we will group accordingly and set a turn-around time prior to heading up the hill.

Note: Coordinator has not skied the first 3.5 section of the trail before. Should Parks Canada report that this section of the trail is not in reasonable condition the day of our trip, we will ski the trail the usual way, turning around at the Great Divide picnic area.
