Itinerary:

Join me for a wonderful day of skiing at Lake Louise.
Temperature is expected to be a low of -2C with a high of 6C, with aprox 3cm of new snow this week.It is expected to be mainly sunny.

This trip is intended for all levels of skiers and boarders. Please ski with people of your own ability. Drop back to a slower group if you are holding your group up. The advanced group (Those that are able to do blacks and double blacks all day) will be primarily skiing the Whitehorn chutes, ER 7 and Paradise bowl. In the morning we will meet in the main day lodge at 9am We'll break into similar ability groups after doing one warm up run together, with optional lunch meeting at 1 pm at top floor of the main day lodge. We will gather again at the end of the day after last run,,aprox 415pm where we met in the morning.

We will meet at the Home Rd & Montgomery Ave NW car pool location (just South of the Shouldice Batting Cages)at 630am for a 645 am SHARP departure. Note that cars have been ticketed for parking at the Shouldice parking area. Please DO NOT be late.

Meeting at event is permitted.

Lift tickets at Louise cost $92 + GST. If you have the Louise discount card, you will get $20 off for yourself and up to 2 friends. You can purchase a 2-pack Louise lift tickets at Costco.

REMINDER: Please let us know if you can drive and how many people you can take (including yourself and gear) and confirm that you have winter tires. Thanks!

If you have Park pass please bring it, even if you're not driving.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $105.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, March 28, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because we will be skiing at a ski resort. No out of bounds skiing allowed.
Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.

Skiing/Snowboarding activities have inherent risks involved. Rental packages now include helmets.
