This scramble starts off in the trees but very quickly emerges onto the open slopes of Observation Peak. From there the slopes are partially grass covered lower down to typical scree higher up. A few easy ledges gets you beyond a rockband. After that it is just a scree plod to the top. Awesome views of glaciers and lakes from the summit.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COORDINATOR HAS NOT DONE THIS TRIP BEFORE. Please allow time/patience for unforeseen circumstances. Please do not be in a rush to get back to the city as this will be a long day. Since this is a moderate scramble rock helmets are required. No bicycle helmets. Also since this is a long day in all likelihood we will be stopping in Canmore for dinner. If this does not work for you please do not sign up.
