Itinerary:
Ever wanted to try trail running? Or you're just getting started. Come out for an intro into trail running or just come along if you're a seasoned pro. Our pace will be very very slow (mainly because I’m a slowpoke and arthritic but its around 8-8:30k/min for the timekeepers). You should have some basic running fitness in place or have done a lot of fast hiking. We'll be power hiking up the teenie hills and slow running down the other side. If you’re brand new, you might want to do a few runs before first. If you’re a pro and already speedy you’ll have to do loop backs to meet the group and you get bonus miles and elevation gain. Highly recommend trail running shoes instead of pavement runners, we'll not be touching pavement except for a tiny bit. Dress accordingly for weather. Apres-run after at a nearby café watering hole for rehydration.
Note: The trail may slippery with early winter conditions, bring along icers if needed, or work your way around the slippery stuff.

Distance: Approx 6 km.
Elevation: Approx 100m gain cumulative

How to Get There:
Event Directions:We'll be meeting in the Glenmore South carpark located at Oakmount Drive SW and 90th Ave SW. It is NOT the one at the Glenmore Sailing School. From Glenmore Trail head south on 14th SW, make a right at 90th Ave SW going west, keep heading west until the road ends. There is a carpark there on the right. If you see a water park/playground/boats you're not in the right place.
