| Itinerary: | |||||||
| This will be an exploratory slowpoke trail run around the park. I've never been here before so thought I'd check it out. Our pace will be very slow (mainly because I’m a slowpoke and arthritic but its around 8-8:30k/min for the pacekeepers). We'll be power hiking up the teenie hills and slowly jogging down the other side. Highly recommend trail running shoes instead of pavement runners for better traction. Dress accordingly for weather. Note: The trail may slippery with early winter conditions, bring along icers if needed, or work your way around the slippery stuff. Brown-Lowery Provincial Park is a beautiful area of old growth forest mixed with aspen and grassland. The area is a maze of very hilly trails and paths, some leading to viewpoints, some along creeks, and some to the remains of structures in the area -- a cabin and a sawmill. Elevation Gain: approximately 120M gain. Distance: about 6-8 KM return depending on how exploratory we get. | |||||||
