Distance: 8.6 kms
Elevation Gain: approximately 200m.

The conservation area consists of 4,800 acres of rolling foothills land donated for the protection of wildlife habitat. The terrain includes sandstone outcrops, aspen forest, native fescue grassland, and lots of deer. Please remember that this is a wildlife preserve. It is not maintained as a park. The entire Area is hilly and trails are remote. Hazards may include, but are not limited to: wildlife, cattle, fallen trees, fencing, holes, mud, ice, water, stinging plants and insects. Visitors use the Area at their own risk.

Hike by donation - please consider bringing along some change to leave at the registration kiosk, your donation will go directly towards maintaining trails and facilities for your continued enjoyment. ALL visitors must register their vehicle at the KIOSK.

- Ice traction - Icers or Microspikes are preferred
-Warm, layered clothing

How to Get There:
Event Directions:From Macleod Trail or Deerfoot Trail, take Hwy 22X (Marquis of Lorne Trail from Deerfoot) Head West on Hwy 22X You will see the blue "Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area" sign on the highway, take the next left (turning south) at 160 St. SW We are located at the end of this street.

Although there is no formal carpool for this event, I will be happy to take people to and from the Somerset - Bridlewood LRT. Please email me at coc.mick@gmail.com if you would like a lift from the station.
