Plan (July 22-28):

Hike from Sunshine to Mt Assiniboine area (2 days).
Scrambling in Mt Assiniboine area (2 days), 100% photography (1 day)
Hike out to Mt Shark (2 days)

Eligibility and conditions:
• Strong hikers comfortable with scrambling and carrying backcountry provisions for 7 days.
• Able to carry your own tent in addition to all other gear. We will be camping.
• Fitness levels will be vetted before anyone is accepted on this trip. If you have hiked with me I will have a rough idea whether this trip will be suitable for you.
• Required fitness: (1) carry at least 40lbs up and back down Prairie Mountain in 3 hours or less. (2) complete 15 rounds on the Curling club staircase in one hour.
• All-weather persons. You must be willing to and have gear to hike in all conditions.
• Willingness to stick with the group. No soloists.
• Patience to allow photographers to spend the time in Mt Assiniboine area to compose shots.

A planning meeting will be arranged in January 2017. Gear and details will be discussed then. Cost TBD. Daily average should not exceed $35-40 per person (excluding food/gear).

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $88.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.22, effective Friday, January 19, 2018). This is based on $0.12/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
