Come out for a NEW years day and chili feast after..**if you sign up please be committed to both the social after AND THE SKI.** Don't sign up if you cannot come for chili. NO MEETING AT EVENT unless you can come for chilli after *******NEED some blue/green skiers

Current snow depth at Lake Louise is 140 cm. Forecast -16 with wind chill to - 23 so dress warm

This trip is intended for all levels of skiers and boarders.

We'll do one or two warmup runs together, and then break off into similar-ability groups for the rest of the day.

We are leaving the Petro-Canada car pool location at 7:00 am sharp. Please arrive 5 mins early (not too early please). DO NOT be late. If you are going to be late, callTerrie at 403 828 9434 for you.

We will meet at the main lodge (Ten Peaks Lodge) at 9 AM on the main level, by the windows facing the ski hill.

We'll have lunch at 12:30 pm. You don't have to be with the group for lunch. You may continue skiing or have lunch somewhere else.

At the end of the day, we are gathering up at the base in the Ten Peaks Lodge and will leave the hill at 4:00 pm. and head back to Lori Weldons (Which is near the car pool-Spring Bank. If you cannot ski AND go to Lori's please do not sign up for the event. This is a New Years day event celebration and the food has been purchased for the posted group size

If you would like to drive, please indicate how many people you can take (including yourself and ski/boarding gear) and confirm that you have winter tires please. Should this information change prior to the trip, please advise the coordinator accordingly. Thanks!

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $108.50 (calculated at total Km * $0.35, effective Wednesday, June 7, 2023). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because we will be skiing at a ski resort. No out of bounds skiing allowed.
Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.

Skiing/Snowboarding activities have inherent risks involved.
Rental packages now include helmets.
