Dear stairs climbers, :D

I understand that some people can join us and climb the stairs right after work while others are able to make it around 5:30 or 6pm. Please don't get stressed because of the traffic and arrive **whenever you can**. It doesn't matter if you are early or late... I'm just happy you can make it!

There are lights at the top, the middle and the bottom of the stairs but I encourage you to bring a headlamp if you find it too dark. Micro-spikes or icers are recommended when the stairs are slippery. I wear my trail running shoes or my hiking boots instead of pavement runners for better traction.

There are 157 steps to climb up-and-down. Really good training for your hikes and backpacking trips or just to improve your overall stamina. Everyone is free to go as fast as they want. Go at your own pace!

The stairs are right beside the Glencoe Club in Earl Grey Park (in Upper Mount Royal). Not too far from Safeway on the corner of 4th Street and Elbow Drive SW. Let's meet on the corner of Hope Street and Earl Grey Crescent SW at 5:30pm (at the top of the stairs). There is plenty of free parking space on the street. Please “Google Map” the area if you are unsure of where it is. Bus #3 also passes by this Safeway.
