Last chance to bike this road before the winter gate opens on May 15th.

+++ TIP for NW members:If you live in the NW, probably a good idea to meet directly at the trailhead.

Scenic Highway 66 is a rolling winding road with 2 Big climbs to test your endurance.

You must be comfortable riding by yourself if you end up by yourself on the road.

We will ride from the closed winter gate (Elbow Falls to Little Elbow Recreation Area and back. No vehicular traffic to deal with.

All LEVELS are welcome. If you're super-slow, or not sure you can do the whole thing, don't sweat it. Go as far as you can and then turn around. If you're super-fit and hard core, repeat sections of the ride (lapping the other riders).

We will have lunch at Forgetmenot Pond.

***If weather changes = lots of rain and or snow = an email will go out Friday night and event shall get cancelled.***

Required Items to Bring:
-Bear spray and/or whistle and/or airhorn(highly recommended-bears also Love this road) - A bike
- Helmet **No Exceptions**
- Gloves
- Snacks
- Water
- Tire repair kit, at least 1 spare tube.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $38.40 (calculated at total Km * $0.32, effective Wednesday, December 1, 2021). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
