Elevation gain: 1350 metres
Difficulty: Rated as an easy scramble via West scree slopes according to Alan Kane

Mount Sparrowhawk provides an expansive view of the Spray Reservoir. The peak was once touted as the downhill ski venue for Calgary's 1988 Winter Olympics however Mount Allan was chosen instead.

Mount Sparrowhawk is not named after a bird, as you might expect, but rather a World Word I Battleship...

*** You must be an experienced hiker / scrambler given the important elevation gain and the scree slope ***

Please note that this will be a moderate to fast speed event.

A rock helmet is required for this event. No helmet = no event

Please allow time for route finding as the coordinator has not done this event .
