This will be my ninth time setting up this event. This year's destination should be awesome and perfect for a picnic. Although Larch Valley receives lots of tourists, our picnic spot will be off the beaten path while offering very impressive 360 degree views.

Please bring one food item to share. Healthier food options are encouraged. No junk foods please. It would also be nice to have a few bottles of sparkling wine or non alcoholic drink. Tupperware is quite helpful to keep foods intact in your daypack. Icepacks can be used to keep foods cold. I will bring paper plates, cutlery, drink glasses, napkins and tablecloths.

***If you already know what food item you will be bringing, please indicate in the 'Notes' field when signing up.***

This hike is best suited to intermediate/fit hikers as we will go at a steady pace. While this hike is spectacular on its own, please do not sign up unless you are willing to participate in the picnic.

Please note: There is a small creek to cross on this hike. It is about 2m wide and calf deep. While it may be sometimes possible to boulder hop across, the rocks can be quite slick so creek crossing footwear (such as crocs/sandals) are recommended.

Trail Conditions Update: There is still a fair amount of snow at higher elevations. There should be a big improvement in the next few weeks. We may encounter a few snow patches higher up but our picnic spot should be completely dry as it is south facing.
