Distance: Roughly 19 km roundtrip
Elevation Gain: 1,500m

A long approach through dry creek bed, moderate scramble on scree and slabs - ice axe and crampons/microspikes are NOT mandatory, but are recommended.

Minimum requirement: Mount Sparrowhawk + Heart mountain loop or equivalent. For adults who are in good shape. Don't need to be an athlete, but definitely for people who exercise regularly. A total of 19 km in distance and over 1500 m in elevation gain. Give yourself a long day.

This trip will be cancelled if weather is not enjoyable.

Speed will be moderate on good trail and steady on steep terrain. You must agree to stay with the group at all time.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $80.40 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, April 18, 2024).
