Itinerary:
The plan is to access the Jumpingpound ridge ride from the north (Sibbald Flats Road), leaving one vehicle at the north trailhead, then proceeding to the south trailhead to start the ride.

Physical Ability - Difficult/
There is a very strenuous climb up to Jumpingpound Ridge and another up to Cox Hill so you need to be in good physical condition.
Technical Ability - Moderate to Difficult /
There is a rock garden that is a challenging section with lots of rocks to navigate. The descent down Cox Hill has some very steep switch backs

A mountain bike with front suspension. No cruisers or hybrids!
Helmet (no helmet - No Ride)
Food and water - lots
Spare tube & bike tools

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Heading west on the TransCanada, take Highway 66 (marked Sibbald) and continue west to the start of the gravel Powderface road). Turn left (heading SW) on the road and proceed to the Dawson Parking lot. We'll drop a vehicle here for the car shuttle.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $36.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle.
